The avocado, is a native fruit of Central and South American countries such as Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia fruit. FEATURES (General Avocado)
Shape: pear­shaped, it contains a unique light­colored seed round and 2­4 cm long that appears coated with a thin brown woody layer.
Size and Weight:. although there are varieties that weigh 100 grams and others that can reach 2 kilograms, the most widely traded usually measure 10 to 13 centimeters, with a weight of 150­ 350 grams.
Color: bark, thick and hard, with roughness, has a green color that varies in intensity depending on the variety The flesh is creamy, oily, cream or pale green to yellowish white, very similar to butter.
Taste: The taste of the flesh reminiscent of walnut and hazelnut collection is usually done by hand, and which is a very delicate fruit. The fruits do not ripen on the tree, but they do once they
have been collected, at which point they go through an intense respiratory activity (ethylene off), so storage for long periods is challenging. It is said that the respiratory activity differs depending on the variety and maturity, environmental conditions and storage methods.
